We Signed Up Too presents an amazing opportunity for children of wounded, ill or injured veterans to have a place to go where other kids who have had these experiences share vital ways to understand and cope with a life that can have many unexpected twists and turns. Life is harder when Mom or Dad or both have been active in the military and have been injured or medically retired for some reason. Being able to access a blog built for you can be a real treat because you know there are others who have experienced the ups and downs of service life and who have ideas to help others just get along with life because we can. But it's always nice to have a little help. My Dad was a disabled vet from World War II. We had a whole generation of kids who maybe didn't understand why their parents never talked about certain things or why they couldn't sleep or why they worked all the time to forget. Maybe if we had had a We Signed Up Too the mystery would have been less and our ability to help would have been more because we had an environment to go to where we could learn what we could do for ourselves that would help our families work together for the good of all. I have known Sinaiyah and Azara for a while now. Their commitment to this project is extraordinary. Their commitment to kids like them is extraordinary. Their commitment to families is extraordinary. This blog delivers gold to those who need solace from what can be difficult and mysterious. Enjoy it. Learn from it. And know that whatever the issue is in your service family, you are never alone. And yes, I read it, and I watch the videos. I'm still a kid of a war veteran even though he's been gone for many years now, and I am in my 70's.

I’ve had the privilege of teaching Sinaiyah and Azara Farsi and watching them grow over the years into the incredible young women they are today. From the very beginning, they stood out not only for their intelligence and hard work, but for their kindness, empathy, and unwavering respect for others. It’s no surprise to me that they’ve now poured all of their heart into “We Signed Up Too.” What they’ve created is more than just a blog or platform—it’s a safe space, a beacon of awareness, and a loving hand extended to the often-overlooked children of wounded, ill, and injured veterans. Their honesty and vulnerability, drawn from lived experience, are powerful. I wholeheartedly admire and support their mission to break the silence, build community, and offer support to kids who often feel isolated. Sinaiyah and Azara are living proof that even at a young age, leadership, compassion, and resilience can change lives. I’m so proud of them, and truly honored to know them.

We Signed Up Too prioritizes people through support from community, reaching out to Veteran Kids, and befriending other Military families going through difficult times.

I had the immense privilege of meeting Sinaiyah and Azara in 2024 and it has been so cool watching them launch "We Signed Up Too." They have created more than just a blog. Through hard work, they have provided a safe place for the children of wounded, ill and injured Veterans. I am so proud of them and their impact on everyone they meet, and everyone who reads this blog.
